继 11 月 20 日（2021 年），VMware vSphere 团队宣布因为产品缺陷从官网下架了 ESXi 7 Update 3 的下载（详见：产品缺陷：请勿在生产环境中使用 ESXi 7 Update 3），12 月 14 日 VMware 重新发布了 vSphere 7 U3c，官方 Release Notes 暂不可用。
2022.01.27 VMware 再次重新发布了 U3c，Build 号有所增加，Release Notes 显示以修复 U3 版本的已知 Bug 为主，同时增加了安全更新包含 Log4j patch。本次已经公开发布，替代 U2a 成为官方推荐版本。
